Yolo County Workforce Innovation Council, YoloWorks! and Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency are offering job seekers the opportunity to earn a Google Chromebook and WorkSkills certification with digital badge through MetrixLearning. The YoloWorks! Chromebooks will be available for loan during the program and upon successful WorkSkills certification individuals will be able to retain the devices.
Participants will actively participate in weekly recordings with YoloWorks! Employment service specialists about their current job, active job search or participation in an education / training program. WorkSkills certification through Metrix Learning allows participants to learn at their own pace, receive clear training milestones and earn personalized badges.
To be eligible, interested participants must:
- Be a resident of Yolo County aged 18 and over and able to verify with proper identification.
- Have a state-issued ID.
- Be an employee, active job seeker or enrolled in a training program or courses.
- Do not have access to other computers, laptops or digital devices.
- Not eligible to receive a device from a community organization, community partner, or one or more publicly funded programs.
