IFLR Africa Awards 2020: the list of finalists revealed

The IFLR is delighted to unveil the list of finalists for its inaugural Africa Awards 2020. Below is the full list of finalists for the Agreement, Team and National and International Company of the Year.

The IFLR Awards focus exclusively on legal innovation in cross-border transactions. For 2020 rewards, transactions must have reached financial close between May 31, 2019 and May 31, 2020 to be considered. The full methodology and criteria can be found here.

The winners will be announced on September 10, when the IFLR will also announce the recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Women in Business Law Award.

Given the circumstances, the IFLR is unable to host an award ceremony and will instead announce the winners online, with podcasts and profiles written to explore the work covered in the awards and teams and the people behind it. Previous podcasts from the IFLR Awards: Europe Prize, Asia-Pacific Prize, Americas Awards, Asia-Pacific Market Reform Award, Americas Market Reform Award and Prices for all of the Americas.

For more information, please contact Liam Sharkey: [email protected]

The shortlist below is based on preliminary research. If your team has advised on any of these transactions but has not been listed, please contact James Wilson: [email protected]
