ASUS powerful Chromebook Flip CX5500 on sale in Canada

I like to share offers and product launches in markets outside of the United States. Why ? Because we’re Chrome OS evangelists and seeing the latest generation, the debut of flagship devices outside of the US means our beloved platform is expanding to users around the world. When we first launched Chrome Unboxed, it was nearly impossible to get our hands on a top-of-the-line, next-gen Chromebook outside of the United States. Most buyers should find a way to import a Chromebook, which involved paying through the nose.

Fortunately times change and thanks to our loyal readers we can often share when a new device arrives. Most importantly, we can share deals on great Chromebooks. Today’s deal is just one of those aforementioned premium Chromebooks, and it’s one of the best devices to come out of 2021. ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 is the first Tiger Lake Chromebook of 15, 6 inches to hit the market and the features offered by this huge convertible are great value. This is especially true when you consider the fact that it sells for less than US $ 600. From apples to apples, the CX5500 is the most affordable 11th Gen Intel Core Chromebook when you compare MSRP.

For our neighbors to the north, our good friend Tak S. has just alerted us to the fact that the 11th generation ASUS Core i3 Chromebook Flip CX5 is now available in Canada and that two retailers are currently offering discounts on the convertible 15, 6 ″. It appears to be the exact same model found here in the States with the 11th Gen Intel Core i3, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. It looks like the ASUS sells for around CA $ 799, or around US $ 635, and that’s a solid price for a Chromebook of this quality. However, you can grab it for as little as CA $ 659 right now, making it a very affordable high-end laptop.

If you’re a Costco buyer, you can buy the ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 for just $ 659, plus you get Costco’s internal extended warranty and concierge service for any tech support you might need. Unfortunately, this appears to be a members-only offer, so you won’t be able to get ASUS back even if you’re willing to pay the non-member supplement that normally applies.

For those who aren’t Costco subscribers, you can find ASUS at one of the oldest online electronics retailers in Canada. Memory Express has the same device for just a few dollars more. You can pick it up for CA $ 679, or roughly US $ 556. At this price, this Chromebook is worth every penny and it will serve you in the future with guaranteed updates from Google through June 2029. You get a backlit keyboard, great trackpad, powerful internals, and a premium chassis for many. less than many other flagship devices on the market. Find them both on the links below.
