ASUS unveils Chromebook Detachable CZ1 laptop at Rs. 26,000

As the latest addition to its Chromebooks, ASUS has unveiled its entry-level laptop, the Chromebook Detachable CZ1 (CZ1000). Its price is 9,900 TWD (approximately 26,300 rupees).

The device has TÜV Rheinland Eye Care certification, 10.1 inch display, MediaTek Kompanio 500 chipset, 27Wh battery, Google Assistant voice recognition support and complies with US military regulations MIL-STD-810H.

ASUS Detachable CZ1 Chromebook can withstand bumps and drops

The ASUS Detachable CZ1 Chromebook features a detachable form factor with thick edges, anti-collision rubber bands all over the profile, a soft keyboard, and a slot for the included stylus.

It features a 10.1-inch Full HD (1920 x 1200 pixel) LCD touchscreen with 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% sRGB color gamut and up to 400 nits of peak brightness.

It measures 256.4 x 168.2 x 8.9 mm and weighs 500 grams.

It works on Chrome OS

The ASUS Chromebook Detachable CZ1 is powered by a MediaTek Kompanio 500 processor, paired with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 128GB of storage. It boots up Chrome OS and packs a 27Wh battery with a 45W power adapter and a usage capacity of 11 hours.

It gets a built-in speaker and microphone

The ASUS Chromebook Detachable CZ1 is equipped with connectivity ports, including a combo audio jack and a Type-C port. There is a built-in speaker and microphone.

For wireless connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2.

The device is also equipped with an 8MP camera on the back, a 2MP front snapper, and support for Google Assistant voice recognition technology.

ASUS ‘Detachable Chromebook CZ1 is currently on sale in Taiwan and is priced at TWD 9,900 (around Rs 26,300) for the 64GB model. It comes in a single black color option.
